| Tommy Castro is respected by many as a firmly established and highly acclaimed force in the American Roots/Blues arena. His prowess as a recording artist is reinforced by a charismatic and powerfully charged stage performance.
Years of touring, writing, and recording have resulted in a masterful blend of the musical genres that he loves: blues, soul and rock.
Castro's first blues record was BB King's Live at Cook County Jail. King quickly became one of Tommy's idols. Little did Tommy know that in 2000, he and his band would be chosen to be the support act for the BB King tour. Castro experienced the distinct pleasure and honor of sitting in with BB at the Columbus, Ohio performance. After the concert Tommy remarked, "Well, this is as good as it gets". That was not the case - it got even better. The Tommy Castro Band returned in 2001 to stir it up for BB, Buddy and John Hiatt. This tour was just what Castro needed to promote his new release on 33rd St Records, 'Guilty Of Love' , which also included a very special cameo by John Lee Hooker.
