Roy Rogers is a producer/performer who is regarded worldwide as one of the premier slide guitarists performing today. With a degree in history, Rogers has a vast knowledge of American Roots music and has accomplished a lifelong passion of performing and producing. He has released eight solo recordings to date and has been nominated for two Grammy awards as an artist and songwriter. Rogers continues to perform in a variety of musical settings at festivals and venues around the world. As producer, Rogers has six credits for production of Grammy-nominated records. Most notably four of John Lee Hooker's (The Healer, Mr. Lucky, Chill Out, Boom Boom) and two of National Medal of Arts recipient Ramblin' Jack Elliott's Friends of Mine and The Long Ride. Rogers' film work includes One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest with Jack Nitzsche, The Hot Spot for director Dennis Hopper (nominated for a Grammy) and his own score for the feature Men In Scoring Position directed by Tim Rhys.
