Heather Lauren is a vocalist, songwriter and performer. Her mission is to heal, inspire, and transform people's lives through music.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Heather began writing and archiving her life experiences after she received her first journal from her mother when she was an early teenager. At 15 years old, Heather discovered she had a voice when a high school girlfriend told her she should audition for the school's performance choir. Upon scoffing at her request, Heather did finally take her suggestion and immediately discovered her hidden love for music, singing, and performing.
After graduating from The University of Texas with a degree in Advertising and Business, her musical passion drew her to San Francisco marking the true beginning of her professional musical career. Heather has spent the last few years performing with San Francisco's World Renowned Glide Ensemble and has been actively performing as a solo artist in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington D.C.
Heather was invited by Marianne Williamson, New York Times best-selling author, spiritual leader and activist, to perform for the Department of Peace Conference in 2003 and 2004, in Washington D.C. and Berkeley, CA respectively, as presented by the Global Renaissance Alliance, which promotes peace and action.
Heather co-wrote “Live on Through Me”, the theme song for the non-profit organization
Vibrant Souls , and performed it live at Ground Zero in New York, for members of the New York Fire Department on September 11, 2004. The mission of
Vibrant Souls is to make powerful healing and inspiration possible for anyone who has lost a loved-one to violence, disease, war or tragedy.
