MUSICIANS BAND TOGETHER TO REBUILD NEW ORLEANS
NEW YORK, NY - Rock legends Bruce Springsteen, Bob Weir, Grammy Award winners Keith Urban, Dave Mathews Band, and many more have joined forces to rebuild New Orleans and help local musicians by participating in ActiveMusic's online charity auction at Charity Folks (www.CharityFolks.com).
Thanks to a generous donation of four Epiphone guitars from Gibson Guitar, the world's premiere musical instrument manufacturer, the musicians have come forward to show their support by auctioning guitars autographed during the monumental 2006 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the city's first post-Katrina event.
Alvarez Guitar, one of the top selling acoustic guitar lines in the United States, also generously contributed to the cause with two acoustic guitars, and which were autographed by several 2006 Jazz Fest artists.
Houston's leading musical instrument retailer Brian Evans of Evans Music City in Houston joined the efforts by donating four beautiful electric guitars.
Some other exciting lots sure to please include an official New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2006 poster and five Rebuild New Orleans posters signed by various artists headlining the historic festival, as well as official souvenir programs and much more.
